Within 2 days 14-15th Sep 2016, GS Battery had held “Boat Maintenance Event” in Tam Quan port - Binh Dinh province. The principal activities of the event are to bring free care service for boat batteries, train care knowledge especially filling distill water for battery. Besides, GS would like to introduce new product especially suitable for boats N200Z (12V-210Ah). Model N200Z with higher capacity, more powerful and more durable which help helmsmen/fishermen feel confident when out to sea.
This is the 2nd consecutive year customer care event was held in the coastal areas such as Lagi seaport in Phan Thiet province (Aug 2015), Ben Da port and Shipbuilding Factory in Ba Ria Vung Tau (June 2016). Local fishermen were welcomed these event series which are useful for people to gain more knowledge and confidence to offshore.
At the Tam Quan port in past two days, GS recorded interesting data as below:
2 technical teams.
4 technicians.
75 boats were maintained.
About 300 fishermen provided technical advice for battery maintenance.
The maintaining activities such as cleaning battery terminals, measuring voltage, refilling distilled water for batteries, checking the battery cable connection. In addition, technical staff of GS Battery led directly fishermen how to maintain the battery safely, how to properly distilled water to extend life expectancy, maintaining cycle for batteries to ensure safety in the sea.
Based on the survey results in the event, 100% of the boat using acid batteries, about 45% of fishermen, helmsmen used acid to refill battery. This is an inappropriate habit that affects batter age life.
"Boat Maintenance Event" within past 2 days in Tam Quan brought exciting atmosphere for people here. Note Nguyen Van Em - ship owner of Tuna fishing said, "This event is very useful and practical for fishermen, I would love to. Thanks to GS Company that I understand knowledge of maintenance batteries properly, especially remember to refill distilled water or purified water for batteries, not acid like before. I hope GS will hold these events more frequently in order to support us"
Through this event, GS Battery also wants to listen the feedback of fishermen about new products for boats N200Z. From there, GS Battery can improve and enhance the quality of products in line with market demand.
